Luke Oke will show his favorite hunting and fishing spots from all over British Columbia. His excursions are primarily do-it-yourself hunting and fishing trips. Luke wants to show that with proper planning, determination, and passion, a person who works a full-time job can still get out and accomplish any of these amazing adventures. Join Luke as he explores the amazing Terrace region, and the opportunities to hunt and fish a diverse range of species.
Luke is an electrician from Terrace, B.C., who spends about 100 days of the year hunting and fishing. He has been a passionate outdoorsman ever since his first childhood hunt. Growing up on the Bruce Peninsula in rural central Ontario, hunting was a family tradition that included ethical practices and respect for animals harvested. The diverse types of hunts he has enjoyed include black bear, grizzly bear, moose, elk, caribou, whitetail deer, mule deer, blacktail deer, bison, mountain goat, and various small game animals.
From Ontario he’s since lived in Manitoba and Vancouver Island before settling in Northern British Columbia. In return for helping his wife maintain her gourmet food truck, she lets him spend his spare time with his other love: hunting.
